Adelaide
After the extreme heat of yesterday and last night, today was pleasantly cool. We walked into Bicycle SA’s offices in the city to make some enquiries regarding our route out of Adelaide next week, and then picked up some food to last us the next few days. Rundle Mall was very busy with last minute Christmas shoppers.

Christmas Day for us was a pleasant and quiet afternoon spent with a good friend from Mark’s school days Michael and his partner Luisa. Our obligation was to provide the trifle, which was transported in a glass bowl very carefully across Adelaide by bicycle. To our relief it arrived intact and the bowl returned empty – very generous double servings for all four of us - and it tasted just like Mark’s mum, Janice makes!

We spent the afternoon at Adelaide’s Himeji Garden – a very pleasant oasis from the dryness of the adjacent parklands.
