Day 236, Friday, 20 November, 2009

Salmon Gums to Norseman

A wet day today with showers on and off throughout the day.

We were pleased to find that the replacement wheel for Denise’s bike had arrived so after shopping for dinner we dismantled the old wheel and fitted the rear cluster and tyre to the new wheel and took it for a test ride around town. We also replaced the sealed bearings in one of the trailer wheels after discovering side play in the wheel.

We think we are ready to start our journey east tomorrow across the Nullarbor. We expect the trip to Ceduna will take us between 12 and 14 days. In an odd sort of way we are looking forward to the journey, we just hope it remains below 35 and we get to have some days with favourable winds.

We are not sure how often we will be able to update the web site during this leg.
