Distance travelled –  195 km
Avg speed –  26.9 kph
Max speed –  39.7 kph

Madura to Border Village

We had a great day today and set a number of ‘personal bests’ along the way. Firstly, we rode 100km before 12.00 noon for the first time which then inspired us to try and better our ‘longest distance ridden in a single day’ record.

Previously our longest distance in a single day was 148km which took us 6 hours 55 minutes (plus rest time). Today we managed 195km in only 7 hours 21 minutes with some very generous rest stops.

However, as we sit and eat our dinner we are both feeling our muscles beginning to stiffen up. Some streching will be required before bedtime.

Tonight we have  decided to switch to Adelaide time instead of staying on Central Western time which means we loose 2.5 hours sleep tonight so we hope the combination of stiff muscles and less sleep does not come back to bite us tomorrrow.

Zoom into the map and use the 'Satellite' layer to see our new location.
