Bowen

Our second rest day. This morning we rode to Queens Beach, Greys Bay and Horseshoe Bay – which are the “Resort” beaches in Bowen. Prior to this morning we had wondered if we had picked the correct side of town to stay, but after our ride we knew we had made the right decision.

Late this afternoon we walked out to the Cruising Yacht Club, which we can see from our cabin, and then along Front Beach. We came across some people wading at Front Beach looking for sand and mud crabs. I would think they would need to be very patient to do this. We have decided to have another rest day here tomorrow and plan the rest of our trip north before turning west.

Zoom into the map and use the 'Satellite' layer to see our new location.
