Rockhampton

We awoke this morning to rain and with the forecast for heavy showers we decided to stay put and spend another night here. The forecast is for rain and thunderstorms for the rest of the week, so with large distances to cover before we reach Mackay we are not looking forward to the next three or four days of riding.

We took the opportunity to go and find out why the Tropic of Capricorn marker was where it was. Watch our video for an explanation.

As chocoholics we have been disappointed to discover over the last few weeks that Cadbury has downsized its family block of chocolate from 250g to 200g. But on the positive side we have also discovered that some Woolies stores have the old 250g blocks on special in bins and aisles a long way from the confectionary for less than the new 200g blocks. Get in quick and buy the 250g blocks in bulk, as we can’t.

Zoom into the map and use the 'Satellite' layer to see our new location.
