Bundaberg

We had a late start this morning partly because, guess what, it was raining again. This is day one of a two day stop in Bundaberg to allow us to visit the Bundaberg Bondstore and the Hinkler Hall of Aviation.

After lunch we rode down to the Bondstore. Neither of us are rum drinkers but we felt we should go and see how one of Australia’s iconic spirits, Bundaberg Rum, is made. The tour includes the cost of two drinks at the bar. Denise tried her two but I still have one credit. I think Denise’s face in the photo below says it all.

As well as being overcast and raining during the day, it was quite cool. The forecast was for 23 degrees but the maximum reached was only 19!
