Banka Banka to Renner Springs

It was a short ride to Renner Springs so we took our time leaving Banka Banka. Shortly after Helen Springs we started to climb onto the Ashburton Range and went through some very pretty country. Like yesterday the country is still greener than anything we have travelled through since entering the Northern Territory.

We arrived at Renner Springs just before 1.00pm just in time for a Handburger, (as Rebecca used to call it), a far better alternative to a lunch of dried biscuits beside the road.

We spent the rest of the afternoon lounging about in the shade near our tent before going to the roadhouse for dinner with Beryl and Brian, a couple travelling north in their caravan. They own a dairy farm and it was interesting to hear how they are managing retirement without selling the farm.

Zoom into the map and use the 'Satellite' layer to see our new location.
