Day 015, Sunday, 12 April, 2009

Thanks for the Emails checking on our well being and requesting an update.

Sorry for the delay in updating the website over the last week. 'The Woodheap' is in a Next G shadow so we have been unable to easily connect to the internet. Also to compound matters we had not kept upto date at the end of each day so we had a bit of writing and cataloging of photos to do

This afternoon we drove into Bellingen for lunch and then onto Paul’s daughters for dinner in Sawtell, which was a very pleasant evening.

Bellingen is one of the towns affected by the recent floods and there is still much evidence of this. The main street of the town seemed unaffected and was bustling with what we guessed was a mix of locals and visitors.

In the local park there is a sculpture dedicated to David Helfgott the subject of the film “Shine” and a local identity. Paul and Claire went to see him perform at the Bellingen Memorial Hall. Listen to their experience (Download 1.9MB MP3).
