bicycles at home

The chooks have escaped from the henhouse, the Sprung Chicken Ride has begun!

One week later than originally planned and as the autumn colours began to appear around Canberra, we packed our bikes into the back of our car and “drove” to Sydney.

We decided last December whilst riding to Adelaide that we would not rush this trip and not be driven by deadlines to be in a particular place on a particular day. With one exception - we must be in Coloundra by 25 April for Denise’s parents 50th wedding anniversary.

As work and home commitments have kept us in Canberra longer than we expected we have decided to move our starting point from Canberra to Sydney. We feel this will allow us to still be in Coloundra on time without the need to be on the road nearly every day.

So after a very rushed week we now find ourselves at Sydney Lakeside Holiday Park in Narrabeen. We will spend Monday putting the trailers back together, repacking the bags and meeting up with friends before heading north on Tuesday. The weather forecast is for showers for the next three days.
